welcome to the world!
 world, i want you to meet jacob ryan, my new born 7.7lb nephew. born two & a half weeks early on march 5, 2004 - at approximately 3:35pm, that's when the clouds of toronto magically disappeared to reveal a deep blue sky.
jacob, i'm your cool gay uncle. the one who held you for over an hour while your mother rested and your sleep-deprived father caught up with his phone calls and errands. i could not stop looking over your beautiful face - watching you in your tranquil and self-possessed sleep.
i welcome you to the world of the living. you were barely two hours old, and already thirty other people love you.
